In India, Dussehra is major festival. It is a festival of Hindus which is celebrated annually. It is celebration of 10 days and on final day of the festival a effigy of Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Maghnad. Not only in India bt the festival is also famous in some other countries too. The festival also marks the victory of Goddess Durga over a buffalo demon Mahishasura. Goddess chased 9 nights and 10 days before killing him on 10th day. That is why it is called Vijaydashmi which literally means victory on 10th day. Navratre vrat ar also taken by women in North India which end on Ashtami or Navami by them. On this day 9 girls (little) are fed as they are believed to be 9 incarnation of Goddess Durga.
